Privacy Policy
This describes the information MarketGeno handles, the service providers that process it, how long it is kept, and how to reach us about your data.
Who operates MarketGeno
MarketGeno is created and operated by Julian Kennedy. In this policy, “MarketGeno,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Julian Kennedy operating MarketGeno. MarketGeno is not a separate legal entity: it is not a corporation or a limited liability company. A limited liability company is planned but has not been formed. If a legal entity is formed later, the operator named here will be updated.
Information the product processes
MarketGeno processes the information you provide to operate the product:
- Account identity. When you create an account, authentication is handled by Supabase Auth. Your sign-in session is carried in a first-party cookie.
- Product content you create. Trade records, trade notes, setups, watchlists, saved views, self-declared Behavioral DNA inputs, and any Oro memory you explicitly choose to save.
- Connected brokerage data. If you connect a brokerage through SnapTrade, MarketGeno syncs trade records and positions. MarketGeno does not store your brokerage login credentials.
- Billing information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. MarketGeno stores a reference to your Stripe customer and your subscription status. MarketGeno does not receive or store your full card number.
How the product uses your information
Your information is used to operate the current product:
- To detect, measure, and describe patterns in your market activity and the context around it.
- To render the evidence, workspaces, and Oro explanations you request.
- To create and manage your account and, when billing is available, your subscription.
- To keep the service secure and working as intended.
Service providers, sharing, and sale
To run the product, MarketGeno shares the information needed for each function with the service providers below. They process it on MarketGeno’s behalf for the specific purpose named beside them:
- Supabase — account authentication and the database that stores your content.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing (for the paid plans, once billing is available).
- SnapTrade — the connection used to sync brokerage trade records and positions when you connect a broker.
- Twelve Data — market data.
- Mediastack and GDELT — news coverage data.
- SEC EDGAR — public company filings.
- Vercel — application hosting.
MarketGeno does not sell your personal information. Sharing data with the service providers above so they can perform these functions is not a sale — it is the processing necessary to deliver the product. No advertising or analytics SDK, and no cross-site tracking code, was found in the reviewed application.
Oro and AI features
Oro generates explanations from the evidence already in your workspace. Oro memory is off by default and stores only what you explicitly ask it to remember; it is never written automatically. You can list, delete, and clear your Oro memory from within the product. Oro does not produce investment advice — see the Financial Disclosure.
Future uses and model development
MarketGeno uses your information to operate the current product, as described above. It does not currently use your personal or trading data to train proprietary behavioral or predictive models. A materially different future use of your personal or behavioral data would require an updated disclosure here before that use begins.
In particular, if MarketGeno later develops proprietary models trained on behavioral data, appropriate notice, consent or control, de-identification, retention, and deletion practices will be established before any such production use, and this policy will be updated to describe them beforehand. Those specifics are not defined yet and are not claimed here.
Retention and deletion
You can delete specific content yourself from within the product:
- Delete individual trade records (which also removes their derived observations).
- List, delete individual entries from, and clear your saved Oro memory.
- Remove your self-declared Behavioral DNA profile.
You can also request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting julian@marketgeno.live. MarketGeno retains your information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, keep it secure, handle billing, meet legitimate legal obligations, and support legitimate operational requirements, and then deletes or de-identifies it when it is no longer needed. No fixed retention period is set.
Security
In the reviewed implementation, the database tables that hold your content — such as your trade records and your Oro memory — are protected by row-level access controls that scope each row to the account that owns it. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Changes to this policy
MarketGeno may update this policy as the product evolves. When it changes, the updated version will be posted here.
Privacy and data-rights requests
